eCopy allows you to push a paper document to your mail server and then send that document to an email recipient as a PDF, CPY, TIFF or JPEG attachment. There is nothing new with this. Digital photocopiers have had push scan technology embedded in their class libraries for a long time, but eCopy is different....
eCopy can be configured through a familiar MMC interface as a valid Active Directory client. Therefore
all documents sent from the eCopy device will be sent from the authenticated user and not from the machine itself, unlike standard push scan devices that just send over SMTP.
eCopy provides native support for the following corporate mail solutions:
Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server
Microsoft Exchange Server 2003/2007
IBM Lotus Notes and Domino 7/8
Native integration with the Lotus and Exchange API's means that all email sent from an eCopy device
will appear in that user's sent items folder, whether they are using the Microsoft or IBM client.
